Senior Manager - Security Engineer / Virtualized Network and Server InfrastructureOn behalf of our client, a major pharmaceutical company, we are currently looking for a Security Engineer to start a 3 month contract in Basel.
Responsibilities
- Functional / detailed design and implementation of solutions for the ISEC Foundation remediation program with focus on virtual network security and zoning, secure administration of critical infrastructure and propose security solutions that are good industry practice
- Deliver solutions for security solutions and processes and hand over to technical writers for operational support
- Ensure delivery of commitments on the participated projects on time and within budget
- Provide assistance with business requirements and status/progress on solutions
Essential Experience
- Secure administration of critical infrastructure (VMWare, Red Hat Linux, MS Server, Cisco network, EMC Storage)
- Virtual network security and zoning
- Experience of the security implications of virtualised technologies (VMWare, Cisco Nexus, etc)
- Ability to combine industry and vendor security best practices into practical operational solutions
- Experience and understanding of the common security infrastructure challenges in large and complex business and technical environments
- A good understanding of the regulations (eg SOX, GxP Data Privacy & Protection, etc.)
- Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience in an infrastructure domain
- Fluent German and English language skills are a MUST
Desirable Experience
- Certification as engineer or expert in technical domain
- Experience in large scale virtualisation technology deployments (VMWare ESX and Cisco virtual Nexus)
- Experience in large scale virtual firewall deployments (Cisco ASA and virtual ASA)
- Solid understanding of routing, path isolation and multi tenancy concepts
Full-time 100% / 40 hours per week
