RISK ANALYST-COMMODITY SECTOR-BERN AREAThe COMPANY
Our client is a strong and prosperous key company inSwitzerland, part of the utilities industry. Leader in its field, this company has high standard of working and a well established risk management policy.
In order to support the Corporate Risk department, they are looking for a Corporate Risk Analyst.
Your duties will be split into three main areas: risk analysis, concept/tools development and reporting.
Your ROLE
You will act as the right hand of the Head of the department, your main duties will be:
- Operational support in the development of statistics, risk management processes and risk management tools/simulation tools
- Calculation of risk aggregations (Monte Carlo simulation)
- Creation and administration of risk management tools and models (especially R2C)
- Development of risk policies, risk analysis, VaR
- Mark to Market analysis
- Check risk assessment methods and limits of the systems for market - and operational risks
- Provide risk reporting to the Executive Committee
- Provide ad hoc advise and training in risk-related matters
- Manage projects for the development and implementation of concepts
The PROFILE
- Master Degree in Economics, Finance or Science
- Min. 3 years experience in a similar role, ideally exposed to commodity, energy or utilities industry
- Experience with risks assessments methods, Var, risk testing + physical exposure (or understanding)
- Strong sense of responsibility, goal and results oriented, solid analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills in German and very good English
- Self starter, able to work in a team and independently
- EU passport or Swiss passport
