Junior Java Developer required for my client, a large international bank, based in ZurichYou will work with an established team to deliver and maintain applications for the business.
This role will focus on development and maintenance of Java applications (server & GUI), along with some database development (SQL) on Linux (app & DB) and Windows (GUIs) machines.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with business analysts and senior developers to refine the requirements and produce technical designs
- Developing software components, in particular, maintaining/expanding exiting ones and using internal development standards and following best practice
- Dealing with business analysts as well as business users for test plans and execution
- Documenting the software/changes (technical documentation, support documentation)
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Java and J2EE
- Ideally 1-2 years experience with Spring Hibernate, Swing, Web Services, XML, JMS (messaging), SQL
- Strong Eclipse (Windows) development environment experience
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong ability to communicate across various seniority levels
