Java developer required for a large banking client in Zurich. Would suit a junior developer with 2 - 3 years experience, who would like to gain invaluable experience in a Swiss Banking environment.My client is looking for someone to join their established development team to help out with smaller Java development tasks for various projects within the area of credit risk. The role will involve working in different development projects for approx 2-4 weeks at a time.
Main responsibilities:
- Write small IT specs based on business requirements
- Implement additional functionality in existing applications incl. unit testing and integration testing
Experience / Skills:
- Excellent Java/JEE knowledge
- Good WebSphere Application Server knowledge
- Previous Agile or SCRUM experience
- Basic Unix / Solaris knowhow
- Frameworks / languages: HTML, Struts, Servlets, Spring MVC, Webservices, Enterprise Beans, Hibernate.
- Development tools: RAD & TOAD.
- Fluent German AND English (written and spoken)
- Previous banking experience is a big plus
