For one of our clients, a reputable financial institution located in Zurich, Swisslinx is urgently seeking a Senior Oracle Database Developer/Solution Engineer to work within the Credit Risk Organisation of our client.

In this initial 6-month contract, you will be working on the Oracle-based Trade Limit System (TLS) which also has a Middle Tier in Java. You will deliver technical analysis, design and development in order to implement database components using PL/SQL and eventually also some Java-based middle tier components. Additionally, you will also be involved in testing activities, documentation and 3rd Level Support.
As you are not only acting as a developer, but also as a Solution Engineer, you will help your team members analysing requirements, as well as writing and reviewing technical specifications of the TLS.
In order to be considered for this position, we are looking for a highly professional, dynamic and driven individual with solid interpersonal skills and the following qualifications:
- Higher IT education
- Min. 6 years of Oracle Database development with PL/SQL
- Good knowledge of Oracle 10g, Oracle ETL and Performance Tuning Tools
- Decent UNIX/Solaris know-how, including Shell Scripts
- Experience with Java (JSF, Spring, JUnit) and OO PL/SQL is a strong plus
- Fluent English; German is a nice-to-have
- Banking background is an asset, specifically in the area or Risk Exposure Calculations and Derivatives
