Edelway AG is a Swiss It services company.
Our global banking client in Geneva is currently looking for Windows System Specialist to join our team on site for a long term basis.
The main program is focused on managing, maintaining and developing the client's infrastructure for EMEA and Asia to ensure uptime. The employee will also give guidance and support within the team and deal with escalations from any of our internal clients.
The role
*Monitoring and maintaining infrastructures for all customers in EMEA and Asia, working with vendors to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
*Taking internal escalations.
*Troubleshooting issues and working with internal customers to effectively resolve them
*Producing effective analysis on solutions
*Being involved in pre-implementation and support of new applications.
*Working infrastructure tasks and tickets.
*Planning, implementing, and supporting infrastructure in Data Centers including out-of-hours on-call support.
*Working closely with DBA and Operate teams
*Working with the global counter-parts to create, implementing and maintaining best practices
*Executing regularly required maintenances for patches and upgrades, etc
Your profile
*Extensive experience in Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, BES administration.
*Extensive working knowledge of HP hardware
*Excellent understanding of Security and Risk assessment
*Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP
*Advanced knowledge of SMTP
*Advanced knowledge of power Shell
*Advanced knowledge of VMware and virtualization
*Advanced knowledge of FC and TCP/IP Networking
*Advanced knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning
*Advanced knowledge of SAN connected systems
*Experience with Veritas Netbackup
*Experience with IIS Webserver
*Experience with Jumpstart, patching, packaging, etc
*Certifications: MSCE, MCSM, MCTS, MCM
*Knowledge of databases an asset.
*Good Mobile solution knowledge an asset.
