Senior Software Engineer/Software Developer (PERL, Python)
For our client, a leading multinational located in the Lake Geneva region of Switzerland, we are searching for a:
Senior Software Engineer (PERL, Python)
to develop bioinformatic pipelines to process raw data received from DNA sequencing machines and create results files for further analysis by statisticians
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop scripts
- Test against live system using test data
- Convert existing bioinformatic scripts to Python/Perl
- Understand the KBASE system at Univ of Chicago - training provided
- Work with bioinformaticiens to develop new pipelines based on their specification
- Debug/optimise solutions
Required Knowledge:
- PERL and Python coding skills
- Agile/scrum methodologies
- MongoDB
- MySQL
