For one of our international, financial services clients in Zurich, Swisslinx is urgently seeking a very strong Web GUI Developer with either strong Silverlight OR WPF skills to work within Investment Banking.
In this role you will be working on the GUI of complex, concurrent, n-tier enterprise applications, using your expert knowledge of Silverlight and/or WPF and C# in this agile environment. In this context, you will be working on systems that face complex scalability and performance challenges which is why you will need your experience with Real Time trading platforms or other critical transaction based systems to work across the full project life cycle. Additionally, you will also workin with 3rd party frameworks/components for UI development and judge their usefulness.
In order to be considered for this contract, we are seeking a team-oriented candidate who covers the following requirements:
- Min. 5 years of Web GUI development experience with Silverlight and/or WPF and C#, developing high performance applications/systems for a large enterprise environment
- Solid knowledge of Design Patterns
- Exposure to Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile development techniques
- Experience with other development languages (Java; Scripting; etc)
- Experience of using 3rd party framworks/components (eg Telerik)
- Solid with Relations Databases (RDBMS, eg MSSQL/Oracle) is a plus)
- Knowledge of Real Time trading platforms or other critical transaction based systems
- Experience with FX or similar complex IB products is a strong plus
- English only
