SQL/Sybase Database Administrator (DBA)
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a SQL/Sybase Database Administrator (DBA). For this contract position (6 months) based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for a English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Technical management
- Coordination of issues and projects
- Administration tasks of SQL Server and Sybase databases
- DBA support for development teams
- Recommendations for new projects
The skills and experience needed for this position are:
- 3+ years experience of:
- Sybase ASE database
- Sybase Replication Server administration
- MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of:
- UNIX and Linux operating system
- Good SQL
- Basic Scripting language (Perl, Shell)
- Sybase Replication Server
