Senior Oracle Developer - Our client, an international financial services company, is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Oracle Developer with multiple years of experience in the financial environment. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a professional Developer to work within a dynamic and international business environment.
Position Description:
A position as a Database Developer within an intercultural team responsible for a Credit Risk application.
As Database Developer you are independently building and implementing moderately complex components in the DB with PLSQL and eventually in the Trade System Middle Tier in JAVA
- Contribute to technical analysis, design and implementation of moderately complex components,
- Help analyze requirements.
- Write and review technical specifications for the trade system
- Conduct unit, system, performance and integration testing.
- Contribute to technical standards and procedures.
- Document moderately complex components and interactions between them independently.
- Perform 3rd Level support for teh trade system.
- Make use of wide internal contact network within sub department
- University degree or similar educational background
- Operating Systems: Windows, Solaris, Linux
- Database: Oracle - at least 6 years experience in Oracle database development with PL/SQL
- Good knowledge of Oracle 10g, Oracle ETL tools and Oracle performance tuning tools/utilities
- Know-How in developing shell scripts on Unix (Solaris)
- Experience in Java development (JSF, Spring, JUnit) and Object Oriented features of PL/SQL is a plus
- Good Financial Products background (Derivatives)
- Dynamic and proactive personality
MUST HAVES:
- ORACLE PL SQL Development know how - at least 6 years
- Financial Service & Derivate know how
- UNIX know how
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
NICE HAVES:
- Basic JAVA knowledge
- German as nice to have
