Procurement Sourcing Manager - FMCG - Switzerland
Skills -
- Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment is required
- Experience with Capital, Construction and/or Facilities Management investment processes is required
- Experience working in the area of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and/or OTC is desirable
- Experience in local purchasing and strategic sourcing.
- Knowledge of general manufacturing principles and practices
- Knowledge of new product commercialization processes
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (cGMP, GMP's, DEA, etc)
- Fluent in English, writing, reading, speaking and listening
Role -
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a clear, comprehensive and tailored sourcing strategy is in place and executed consistently across the business. The initial wave of focus is on the annual €150m spend across EMEA to ensure value across all types of this spend - from Low Value/High Volume to High Value/Low Volume purchases.
You will be expected to work with other managers to deploy a first class Consumer specific strategy. To enable this strategy to come alive it is critical to build a strong network with the plant communities (ie Plant Purchasing, Engineering, Facilities Management, Plant & Finance Directors). Through this network you will also be able to ensure consistency in the Consumer procurement processes - including early involvement in procurement decisions above a certain financial threshold plus competitive bidding and negotiations.
Sourcing Strategy Implementation - approx. 40% of time/effort
- Develop in-depth knowledge about Supply Base Industries (Industry Analysis, Supply Analysis and Segmentation, Sourcing Choice)
- Become the point of contact in the EMEA supply base area for Industry and Supplier intelligence and trends
- Develop, align with Business and execute sourcing strategies for the specific technology area
Competitive Bidding and Negotiations - approx. 20% of time/effort
- Ensure alignment on the competitive bidding thresholds across the regional plant network
- Ensure procurement is involved early in appropriate CCFS investment decisions (Medium -?High Value investments) and that competitive bidding events are run according to standard regional operating procedures
- Provide support in the plant purchasing negotiations as appropriate (depending on the size of the investment)
Supplier Relationship Management - approx. 20% of time/effort
- Accountable for defining and managing key EMEA supplier relationships to best meet the needs of the business
- Accountable for the identification, implementation and tracking of Continuous Improvement initiatives at selected Suppliers
Legal Contract Development and Management - approx. 10% of time/effort
- Support in the development of appropriate supply terms, penalties and incentive agreements for suppliers to maximize levels and value for money service
- Ensure appropriate legal coverage is maintained across the portfolio
Supplier Base Optimization (SBO) - approx. 10% of time/effort
- Work on reducing the number of suppliers in the CBS Procurement area by leveraging on existing EMEA/Global X-sector initiatives.
