For a client in the finance sector in Zurich we are looking for an Application Engineer. The role holder is responsible for delivering reliable and efficient IT application engineering services to Wealth as part of Wealth IT Solution Delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain and evolve Contact Centre Application (Avaloq)
- Development of interfaces and applications in the area of call centre integration
- Request for proposal management for enhancements, respectively migration towards new generation environments
- Technical steering of deployment activities with the respective area
- Coordination and execution of tests in integration environments
- Provide project management services in this area for new clients of this service
- Maintain and evolve eBanking Integration Services in collaboration with 3rd party vendor (Crealogix/Avaloq)
- Parameterization between Avaloq banking system and 3rd party applications like E-banking
- Engage proactively with business partners to consult & engineer on all web related disciplines, identify problem areas and suggest improvements & solutions
- Business End User Consulting & Requirements Engineering
- Business analysis, requirement engineering, use case definition and system specification
- Conceptual design in all related areas
- Service management: 3rd Level Support
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the wealth business.
Technical Knowledge:
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the application architecture for Wealth used by Wealth IT including the respective change, support and escalation procedures.
- Thorough understanding of the Wealth Business Processes, Products and Services
- Lead and guide in software QA for the stream Channels
- Support business functions with technical tests in test- and integration environments
Technical Skills:
- M.Sc. preferably in IT engineering or computer science or equivalent.
- Advanced PC User Knowledge (MS Office suite)
- Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) (must)
- Oracle und PL/SQL knowledge (must)
- Preferably: Web technologies, IT security knowledge in the area of online systems (authorization & authentication), Citrix and Microsoft Active Directory
- Fluent in German and English
Required Experience:
- Avaloq development experience - preferably experience including the Contact Centre, Smart Client and AMI (Avaloq Message Interface)
- Sound understanding and industry knowledge in banking and IT.
- Preferably experience in the online banking area or Call Centre (Crealogix and/or Comit).
- Experience working in an international team with non-native English speakers across different countries.
