Senior Java and Oracle Developer for a contract opportunity in Zürich, Switzerland running until end of 2014
Our client, a globally recognized company based in Switzerland, is currently looking for a highly experienced Java and Oracle Developer to join their team in Zürich and one candidate to join them in Basel.
We are therefore urgently looking for a Java and Oracle Developer who can join our client ASAP for this contract opportunity in Zürich. The Role:
- Enhancing and maintaining one or more of our client's applications within a Java environment
- Analyse and resolve production issues, as well as providing technical support for the existing applications
- Providing solutions and defect fixes to issues in the production environment
- Translating business requirements into technical designs
- Take handover of deliverables from the development team and ensure high quality of deliverables, in adherence to the application design
- Knowledge acquisition of these applications and respective documentation for future reference
- Responsible for tracking and reporting
- Coordinate with 2nd level support team and other teams
Skills and experience required:
- 7-8 years experience developing Java and Oracle
- Good Unix knowledge
- Excellent communication skills in English and German would be a great asset
