Serving the Private Banking unit of the client with Business Intelligence Solutions and Sales tools for the PB salesforce (6000 RM's). The BI&S (Business Information & Systems) Applications team provides IT services as maintenance, enhancement and development for BI&S applications in terms of standard reporting and BI service. The BI2 application is a key strategic project providing Standard Reporting and Self Service BI capabilities to the business. Standard Reporting covers a number of different business areas including Client Reporting, Product Reporting and Performance Reporting. Self Service BI provides a framework and environment of tools and capabilities for business users to develop adhoc solutions according to demand from end users including regulatory and compliance departments. Microsoft BI tools are used extensively in the project with Oracle used as the primary database.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior developer to work primarily on Cube development using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). The Standard Reporting part of the BI2 application uses Cubes for each subject area which are specifically designed and optimised for the reporting requirements of that area. The business logic is complex and the developer must be familiar with working with large non-transactional data warehouses and managing complex hierarchical structures, and be able to design, develop and optimise such cubes. The person should also be experienced with performance tuning both Load time and query time of SSAS cubes.
The development team is large with part of the team based offshore in Wroclaw, Poland. Close interaction and collaboration with team members is very important, as is a thorough understanding of dependencies between cubes and other components and technologies.
You offer
Excellent experience in Microsoft BI technologies especially in SSAS and MDX development. Experience working with large complex cubes with hierarchical data. Practical experience of performance tuning and optimisation is also very important. Practical knowledge of SQL and .NET C# is also very beneficial. Oracle experience is a plus.
Fluency in English is paramount. Along with not less than 5 years experiences in MSBI development. A Masters degree in computer science or similar is expected. General Banking knowledge is a plus.
