Our customer in Zurich needs for a project from 01.04.2013 until 31.12.2013 a:
Financial Business Analyst
Role description:
In a team with another business analyst you will be responsible for all business aspects related to the client's accounting platform. The team not only supports the finance division regarding data input, reporting and analysis worldwide but also worksclosely together with planning and reporting, claims and liability management as well as the actuarial department. You will support daily production but also work in projects. On the production side the main tasks will be to support the quarterly closing with special processes and to secure the daily data processing. You will be involved in all steps of a project and the production control and you will be assigned own sub-projects which you will manage independently.
Your job will include:
Business support and production control Monitoring and maintenance of daily interfaces including error handling Provide business support by executing special processes within the quarterly closing Perform system reconciliation and data quality checks Perform data migrations and clean ups; Support financial data migrations in close cooperation with other migration teams and the carrier responsibles Translate requirements into system specifications, covering all aspects of the new solution Work closely with the programmers in the realisation phase and ensure correct understanding and implementation of business requirements Document the solution, both for internal and external use Manage assigned sub-projects in above-mentioned fields independently
Required Skills: Higher professional education (accounting or finance) Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good communication skills Experience in insurance/reinsurance technical accounting Flexible and open for new tasks, ready to work in a small team, willing to learn permanently Good command of English
