For our client in Zurich we are looking for a German speaking Linux System Administrator (1344)
Contract
- Technical team lead
- Administration and technical support of worldwide Mailbackbone Infrastructure
- Support hygiene layer (SPAM, Antivirus)
- Operate Application Mail-Gateway
- Migration and/or integration of application and services
- Collaboration within Projects
- Deep analysis of logs and reports
- Statistics gathering on regular basis
- Enhance Monitoring solution Nagios
- Ensure 2nd level support to other departments
- MGMT reporting
- Key Contact to Engineering
- Change and Release testing and implementation
- Ensure consistency with other regions (AMER/EMEA/APAC)
- Act as Key contact on interregional conference calls
- Pikett (on - call) during off-hours must be provided on regular basis
Experience:
- Must have strong Linux experience (ie Redhat)
- Must have SendMail experience
- Must have LDAP experience (OpenLDAP)
- Must have excellent Scripting skills in linux environment (bash, Perl)
- TCP/IP Networking knowledge
- OpenSSH and/or Tectia SSH knowledge
- SQL knowledge
- Java
- Solaris
- Other Scripting language
- Security knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting background
- ITIL Knowledge
- Analytic and pragmatic
Social skills:
- Communication, diplomatic and negotiation skills in an international environment
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team

Language:
- English and German is a must
