For one of our clients, a leading banking organization, we are looking for a Capacity Provisioning Engineer.
In this contracting role, you would be responsible for installations, migrations, upgrades and re-installations of the central Linux/UNIX Servers in Switzerland. You would also ensure compliance with defined quality and performances standards and increase customer satisfaction in terms of quality and turnaround time.
This will include following tasks:
- Timely delivery of systems to the various operations departments
- Reviewing and approving the system layout
- Daily proactive management of requests in cooperation with partner departments
- Coordination of activities such as migrations
- Troubleshooting in a very complex network infrastructure
- Proactive communication with the Operations and other departments
To be considered for the role, you will have the following skills:
- 4-6 years experience in system administration Linux and UNIX
- 1-2 years experience with VMware VirtualCenter
- 1-2 years experience with SAN and NAS Storage
- 1-2 years experience in highly complex Linux and Unix-based IT environments
- Experience with deployment tools is an advantage
- Fluent English, German skills desired
- Very strong communications skills
