Capacity Provisioning Engineer - Our client, an international financial services company, is currently looking for an experienced Capacity Provisioning Engineer with very strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX.Tasks & Respnsibilities:
- Delivering the systems to the various operational departments in accordance to the provisioning request workflow tools
- Installing, moving, upgrading and reinstalling the central Linux/UNIX servers in Switzerland with the banks internal deployment-tools
- Testing & approval of the system lay-out
- Troubleshooting in a very complex network-infrastructure (network-, capacityzone-, firewall- and general operating system failures
- Continuous improvement of provisioning, participating in internal training
Skills & Experience:
- 6 + years experience of UNIX/Linux Sytems Administration
- Strong understanding of VMWare Virtual Center
- Knowledge of BMC Bladelogic
- SAN and NAS Storage
- Experience in highly complex UNIX / Linux based IT environments
- Fluency in English, German is an asset
