On behalf of a major Pharma client in Basel, Harvey Nash is urgently looking for a Recruitment Manager for a 16 month project with possible extension.

The role

  • Responsible for hiring of new employees incl. temporary assignments, post graduates and post-docs and contributing in making the Recruitment Center (RC) a Center of Excellence
  • Identify preferred search agencies and working along with them
  • Candidate sourcing: working as an internal consultant with Line Managers and HR Managers; screen for both internal and external talent, including profiles provided by external "preferred suppliers"
  • Selecting candidates: screening applications, selecting shortlist of suitable candidates and forwarding them to the line managers
  • Hiring: ensuring availability, screen rejected candidates for other suitable vacancies; hand over the new hire's dossier to HR Manager and ensure on-boarding is progressing and ends within tight timelines
  • Identify (with the team) preferred recruiting agencies, build up and establish excellent cooperation with them to ensure quick hiring process; negotiate fees with "preferred suppliers" according to internal principles
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, lead process improvement projects in the Recruitment Center
  • Build credibility as an internal consultant on recruitment topics, coach Line Management on Best Practices in Selection & Assessment
  • Demonstrate compliance with local employment laws, regulations and company hiring policy
  • Contribute to the HR network and exchange best practices.

    Requirements

  • minimum 3 years of experience in HR in a Generalist role or as a Specialist
  • Understanding of business cycle and related recruitment requirements
  • Knowledge of variety of sourcing and selection tools, Training & Development strategies, selection of recruiting partners
  • Experience applying assessment tools, designing compensation & benefit packages
  • University degree in social sciences preferable HR or Business Administration/HR focus or equivalent
  • fluent English and German are mandatory, French or any other language is a plus .
