DTS Business consultant

Location: Geneva

Start date ASAP

Duration: from April 1st, 2013 till march 31st, 2014

French and English mandatory

Allocation: 4 days per week

Key mission of the role:

  • Design, realization and continuous improvement of the APO/PP/QM template processes; participation in the roll out project of SAP within the Group.
  • Secure integrated process view with other area: FICO, PTP, PTC
  • Secure Business intelligence report & query consistency
  • Business consultant to support and streamline the organization along the SAP
  • Implementation
    Provides support for APO/PP/QM teams
  • Direct report to the Head of the Business area manager or Integration Manager"


  • Design - 30%

o Design & realization of global client template processes
o Redesign of existing processes
o Design of specific business requirements, if required and agreed
o Design of BI reports/queries
o To provide new concepts & process design based on detailed defined business requirements.
o Design & realization according to the guidelines of the Global SAP CC Management
o Customizing of new processes and functions
o Testing & implementation of new processes and functions

  • Global roll out implementation - 20%

o Readiness to participate in the different phases (local Business Blueprint, Realization, Integration Test, Go Live Support) of the global roll out implementation of the SAP system within the client
o To be a key reference for business, 2nd level and other team member

  • Support, Test and Training - 20%

o To run third level support for client Functions (take, manage and solve helpdesk calls)
o To build up a deputy support role function if area of responsibility comprises more than one application - To be specified in detail per role in accordance with the global task & responsibility Matrix
o To perform key user training
o Training/support for local MDM team to monitor CIF interface
o To perform ongoing non-regression tests to secure the stability and quality of the system

  • Documentation - 20%

o Customizing documentation
o Template processes documentation
o Development specification

  • Management - 10%

o Management of external consultancy where needed (project or support activities)


Prerequisites Mand. Opt.

University degree in Information Technology or Engineering
Hands-on experience in SAP mainly Manufacturing area (Planning & Execution)
Working knowledge of integration points (Controlling and Purchasing)
Working knowledge on reporting requirement analysis
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Expert in PP module with special focus on Integration topics with Controlling and purchasing
Solid basic knowledge in R/3/ECC, other module: modules MM & FICO
min. 4 years SAP experience
Full SAP cycle implementations
International experience
Entrepreneurial, proactive
Communication skills, ability to challenge business departments
Thinking in standardized, harmonized and user-friendly solutions
