For our banking client, Swisslinx are looking for a Senior Security Specialist for a challenging new 3-year contract in Basel.
In this new role, you will evolve within the Corporate Security team, to implement, coordinate and support the bank's IT security processes to maintain and improve the company's security operations and controls.
Your responsibilities will involve:
- The information security risk assessments: design, implement and review the architecture, procedures and controls necessary to protect the safety and security of the information system assets.
- Monitoring and compliance: Monitor, analyse and enhance the methods used to detect the security issues and handle security incidents.
- Implementation and operations: Implement security solutions including the design, configuration, deployment and operation of security controls and tools.
- You will also lead technical security projects and participate in the gathering and analysis of information from security-related sources.
In order to be considered for this position, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Expertise in common security software
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of ICT systems and components such as networking devices, Firewalls and standard operating system operations
- Excellent communication skills with both the Business and IT area personnel
- Working knowledge of information security standards (such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002 and ISO 27005) and effective means for their implementation
- Team player, ready to take initiative and work independently
- Fluency in English, a second language such as German would be a plus
- Certified in security-related disciplines and technologies would be an advantage (CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISA)
- Working experience in securing some of the following platforms would be an advantage: SOAP- and Java-based applications, PeopleSoft, etc.
