Our international client in Geneva is looking for an IBM WebSphere Administrator.
Duration: 6 months + ext.

THE ROLE:
*Installing, configuring, securing, and upgrading all web related tools and applications.
*Administration and maintenance of an existing IBM WebSphere infrastructure;
*Working to resolve problems and incidents to enable the operation to continue to run and deliver service effectively by eradicating recurrences with the minimum disruption to the business;
*Participating in Major Incident Reviews and Service Improvement Programs as required;
*Providing user support to user groups to determine operations support needs and to ensure smooth project implementations;
*Ensuring that processes are being adhered to by the service agreement managers, reviewing reports and escalating issues to management;
*For new solutions oversee migration plans taking due consideration of existing service requirements;
*Controlling projects and resources that vary in scale and complexity to meet changing objectives;
YOUR PROFILE:
*Ability to prioritise work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment;
*Have a knowledge of the project life cycle;
*Communication and interpersonal skills;
*Problem solving and resolution skills;
*Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an IT role;
*Strong working knowledge of the change, problem and release procedures used in the Group;
*Good knowledge of risk management, configuration management, and disaster recovery;
*Proven technical expertise in an IT role;
*A wide knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations and networks;
*Advanced expertise Large WebSphere deployments in a highly visible, high-availability production environment is required;
*Advanced expertise in managing Web-Related and messaging services is required;
*Very strong understanding in designing and implementing WebSphere Application Server & Portal Server is required;
*Advanced expertise in managing WebSphere Performance Tuning and Monitoring is required;
*Advanced expertise with IBM HTTP Server, Apache HTTP Server Apache Tomcat is required;
*Very strong understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux & IBM AIX Operating systems (Windows a plus);
*Experience with CA SiteMinder;
*Experience with CA Arcot WebFort;
*Experience with RSA SecurID Authentication Manager;
*Experience with Shell Scripting;
*Experience with WebSphere MQ (a plus).
