Our client is currently starting a large project that aims to implement a Global Enterprise Electronic Document and Records Management System in a highly regulated environment. In order to provide the team with an expert in such implementations, Swisslinx is urgently seeking a high qualified Solution Architect to start ASAP.In this contract which is meant to last at least until the end of 2013, you will be the responsible Solution Architect for this implementation and the Technical Lead for the design and implementation. Additionally you will also support the project leaders in the preparation of the project plans, resources and cost estimations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead the technical stream to deliver a technical solution that fulfil the requirements specified by the business in a cost-efficient way and aligned with the internal roadmaps
- Support the Project Lead on creating project plan, resources and costs estimations for the project.
- Review and understand the requirements provided by the business to implement a eDRM system
- Research industry trends & best practices and develop recommendations
of technologies and methods to stakeholders at all levels - Work collaboratively with other architectural domains, enterprise
architects and operating units from the operating model/
organizational model to recommend and design effective and consistent
solutions - Evaluate and recommend technology solutions (vendor assessments, RFP
process management, prototyping, Proof-of-Concept) - Provide estimation on TCO for implementing the solution and estimated running costs
- Deliver the required technical documentation according Roche standards and methodology (PMM): Solution Architect Design Document, Functional Specification, Technical Specification
In order to be considered for this position, we are looking for an initiative, communicative and analytical individual who is self-driven and has the following skills and qualifications:
- Higher Degree in IT or similar
- Min. 10 years of professional IT experience; fair amount in highly regulated environments is desirable
- Min. 5 years experience in an Architect/Tech Lead role
- Must have experience in implementing Records Management Solutions in a regulated environment (eDRMS systems, SharePoint, Archiving)
- Must have experience as Technical Lead for Design and Implementation of enterprise eDRMS solutions in large environments based on business requirements
- Experience in supporting the PM in creating the project schedule and resources needed to deploy the solution is a strong asset
- Ideally also experience in IT Planning (functional specs, assess SQ, tech documentations)
- Fluent English skills (written/spoken); German is an asset
