The BdU Consulting AG provides various services in the IT sector in cooperation with large and established companies. For the ongoing support of our customers, we are looking for a Service Manager Security/Information Security Consultant with work location in the Basel.
The start would be at the beginning of February 2013 and the end of the project will be around the end of 2013.
Tasks:
As a Service Manager/Security Consultant the candidate will support the IT projects of our customer with his/her expertise concerning IT security.
ISEC Risk Assessments, Security Audits, Business Impact Analyses and the like are well known topics to the candidate. The candidate has at least 3-5 years of work experience in the areas listed under requirements.
• responsible for establishing cooperation among the members of a project team who are involved in internal information security functions.
• champions standards and recommendations for security measures
• works operating budgets, identifies project controls, prioritizes team functions and direction, assigns tasks and reviews subordinates' work.
• manages the information security team to develop and implement security processes and procedures
• manages the risk assessment resolution process.
• responsible for coordinating any security auditing procedures.
• ability to develop security protection and auditing policies and procedures.
• responsible for promoting information security awareness.
• will determine new methods and develop new procedures for accomplishing work.
• may interface with department/business to identify and coordinate security projects.
• ability to supervise staff and make personnel decisions.
• effective decision-making capabilities.
• ability to work within operating budgets, identify project controls, and prioritize and direct team functions.
• stay abreast on the latest industry trends and best practices in IT information security.
• interfaces with all levels of management to negotiate project priorities and outcomes.
• is able to effectively relate his/her technical expertise to varying organizational needs.
• takes action to resolve customer problems or concerns in a timely manner that exceeds normal expectations.
• maintains clear and open communications with project teams members and customers.

Requirements:
• general IT security
• information security management
• IT project management / IT service management
• knows the most common standard security testing applications
• Good knowledge of:
o network technologies & architectures
o NIX script languages and system administration automation
o database design and configuration and SQL
• knows how to interpret traffic analyses (i.e. tcpdump and wireshark)
• knows OWASP top 10 and similar methodologies
• security certifications would be an advantage
• competence and experience in one or more programming languages
• reverse engineering tools like assembly analyses desirable
• training on CISM, CISSP for instance is desirable
• has completed a university program, similar education or has several years of work experience in the field of IT security
• standards und procedures like ISO2700x or BSI, as well as modern security technology experience
• competent knowledge of a popular project management model would be an advantage
• ability to work independently to define, manage, and complete activities.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
