Our client, a large banking institution in Zurich, Switzerland, is currently hiring a Windows Engineering/Support Specialist for a 6 month contract role.
Role:
Windows engineering/support specialist to help support the infrastructure of our structured products trading IT operations. The focus of the role is to provide support to the existing team in terms of the Windows server and Active Directory systems as well as some project work.
Main duties:
- Maintenance of existing Windows server environment )
- Windows sys admin duties
- Active Directory including group policy creation and administration
- Backup and restore with Symantec Backup EXEC
- Storage support (VSP Hitachi)
Experience preferred:
- Good knowledge of maintaining high availability, high volume Windows server environments
- Experience in supporting complex environments
- Team foundation server and SharePoint technologies
- Experience in data migration and decommissioning is a plus
- Experience in Sybase Database
- Trading technology knowledge such as exchange connectivity and trading applications
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- German and English skills are desirable
