SAP FI/CO Consultant

SAP FI/CO Consultant required for long-term project in Switzerland migrating existing Legacy systems to SAP ECC 6.03.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support development of conversion approach from Legacy system to target system
  • Define and support business on conversion related activities
  • Support Finance on Chart of Account conversion activities
  • Close collaboration and communication with IT teams (local, Belgium, Off-shore)
  • Act as key contact for both the Finance team as well as IT teams
  • Progress monitoring and pro-active project management to support Business PM
  • Support preparation of test scripts and other UAT related activities (SDLC methodology)
  • Perform UAT testing together with key users
  • Ensure finance process integration on target system including data transfer into SAP BI (BW 7.0)
  • Provide support for authorization re-design activities
  • Support GO-LIVE preparation as well as Hyper Care phase
  • Support business in updating procedures and documentations
  • Training of user community (max. 50 users)

Key Skills

  • 5-8 Years of proven SAP R/3 FI/CO experience. Focus on FI.
  • Proven experience in the area of R/3 system migration, conversion, ALE scenarios
  • SAP BI knowledge a surplus
  • Technical writing skills to support writing the proper UAT documentation according to internal regulations (SDLC 5)
  • Working with internal tools (eg DocSpace, Quality Center)
  • Ability to develop concepts and methodologies
  • Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills
  • Very good communication skills. Able to translate IT language into business terms
  • Partner with different business and IT teams
  • Able to follow change management procedures and internal client's guidelines
  • Ability to share knowledge across teams
  • Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
  • Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
  • Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
  • Quick learner, motivated self-starter
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
