Site Acquisition and Permitting Manager

On behalf of our client, an interesting international company, we are currently looking for Site Acquisition and Permitting Manager.

This role is 12 MONTH contract position based in Zurich or Lausanne and a suitable candidate is supposed to start as soon as possible.

Description:

  • Builds and maintains an organizational structure for the project SA and permitting team together with OUR client project management, region/sub region SA management organization
  • SA and permitting work
  • Ensures Site Acquisition activities meet customer and client requirements.
  • Leads permitting processes with local authorities.
  • Participates in meetings with local authorities as required.
  • Prepares together with project manager and regional project manager roll out schedule based on realistic lead times.
  • Ensures SA and permitting resources are properly considered and demand plan is prepared.
  • Follows up subcontractor resources and their performance. Prepare and implement corrective actions.
  • Service supplier interface
  • Interface for Site Acquisition and permitting service suppliers.
  • Responsible for following up their performance.
  • Organizes trainings and provide support to the local SA and permitting service suppliers as required.
  • Customer interface
  • Agrees model site drawings with the project team and lease fee frames with customer.
  • Agrees with customer site Acquisition Manager on lease approval process.
  • Reviews and discusses progress of lease approvals and resolves open issues. Participation in customer meetings as required.
  • Cooperation with other functions
  • Supports PM in preparation/updating roll-out schedule.
  • Supports PM in SA quality planning and managing risks related to site acquisition and permitting. Participates in "daily" progress meeting with project team. Reports to project manager all SA and permitting deviations from the original plan, ie Extra works, delays, cancellations, etc
  • Tools usage and data update

Requirements:

  • EXPERIENCE FROM SWISS ACQ MARKET IS A MUST
  • Degree in Engineering/Law
  • Min 7 years experience with 4-5 years in Telecom
  • Customer's business goal, expectation and time target understanding
  • Knowledge of local rules and regulation pertaining to permits and approvals
  • Agree and implement the local rollout process and final site acquisition process as well as permit requirements, detailed scope of work, responsibilities and interfaces - Acquisition of pertinent documents as required by local government
  • Validation of property and legal documents to establish the ownership of candidate Site
  • Finalization of lease contract for execution by operator and the site owner
  • Established connection to local authorities and permitting bodies
  • Understanding of challenges associated with site acquisition
  • Efficient management of site acquisition process and parties
  • German or French speaker is a must
