a FATCA Project Manager
Tasks:
• The FATCA Program in Private Banking will ensure compliance with US tax regulations and compliance implications. Objective is to define and implement client identification processes, reporting and withholding. A central team in Zurich represents stakeholders from Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations, IT and International Locations. FATCA activities are coordinated globally for the Private Banking division.
• The project manager position will support two FATCA Business Area Leads in planning, coordinating and monitoring FATCA implementation for Western Europe (WE) and Eastern EMEA (EEMEA) International Locations. Most activities are coordinated out of Zurich; some travel may be required.
• Planning of WE and EEMEA analysis and implementation activities in International Locations; alignment with central project team
• Establish and maintain transparent and open communication platform between central project team and International Locations
• Milestones tracking amongst WE and EEMEA locations
• Communication between local project managers and respective partners from tax, legal, compliance, operations, IT
• Coordination with central project team in Zurich
• High-level understanding and knowledge of regulations and policies around US connex; to be maintained through new information
• High-level understanding and knowledge of local WE and EEMEA business set-up with IT platform, regulations and business offering; to be maintained through new information
• Participation in regular meetings and calls representing the International Locations
• Contribute to analysis and challenge with solid arguments and know-how
Skills needed:
• Practical experience in project management (several years)
• Proactive and decisive approach; able to deputize Business Area Lead
• Fluent in German and English; French, Italian and/or Spanish of advantage
• Communication skills in international environment; flexibility to travel
• Tax, compliance and/or legal background advantage but not necessary
• Know-how of local platforms in Western Europe of advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
