On behalf of our major client in the Pharma industry, Harvey Nash is urgently looking for a "Virtualisation Specialist/ESX VMware Administrator" (IT Professional - contractor) for a challenging role in Basel, Switzerland.
Project focus
Installing, supervising and maintaining workspace, server and Virtualizations systems. Implementing and troubleshooting ESX VMWare systems, advising, instructing and supporting users in the event of problems. Main Tasks
Implementation and co-ordination of hardware, software and network components and communications installations. Follow-up on hardware, software, network and communications problems and invocation of the corrective actions and escalation procedures. Creation of standardized installation and configuration structures (directory structures, menu systems, user interfaces, backup and recovery procedures) Creation and maintenance of operating manuals, user guides and check lists. Mandatory Requirements
Several years of experience with Virtualization Projects and ESX VMWare Administration and implementation Very deep knowhow and expertise in the area of virtualisation, network management, storage and security issues Experience with ESX VMWare 5.0 will be very much appreciated Experience in ITIL environment. Start: as soon as possible, preferably in January 2013 Duration: 4 to 6 months with extension option Language: ENGLISH mandatory, GERMAN is an asset.
