Data Architect - Basel
Next Ventures are currently hiring for an English speaking Data Architect with Agricultural Industry/client experience or exposure to managing environmental data for a 12 month project based in Basel, Switzerland.
Duration - 12 months + extensions
Location - Basel, Switzerland
Rate - Negotiable

Required Skills:
- Agricultural Industry/client experience or exposure to managing environmental data.
- Out-of-the-box thinking
- SQL server proficiency: Designing/Managing/Improving
- Database architecture
- Designing the physical and logical layers
- Troubleshooting,
- Fine-tuning
- Benchmarking - Information architecture
- Information Lifecycle Management
- Bringing together multiple information sources
- Ability to adopt a business-centric view instead of a pure data-centric approach. Data management is determined by the information needs.
- Ability to interact at the business logic level and not just at the database layer.
Excelent modelling skills:
- OLTP (OLAP is a plus)
- Relational entity modelling
- Top-down and bottom-up modelling
