My client is urgently searching for an experienced
Senior Embedded Software Engineer C (Embedded Marconi)
Start date: 01.11.12
Duration: 12-24 Months
Location: Zürich Lake
Language: English.
Project:
- On-body wireless communication networking. Radio communication in hearing system.
- Small, resource-constrained devices
- Ultra low power consumption
- Dealing directly with HW (ASIC)
Must have:
- Strong SW engineering background
- Proficiency in Embedded computer architecture; HW-SW interfacing
- At least 5 years experience in Embedded programming with strict memory, power-consumption and Real Time constraints ("HW-nahe-Programmierung")
- Profound understanding and practical knowledge of Real Time operating systems, compilers, Embedded Real Time debugging strategies
- Practical exposure to hardware and driver development
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Object-oriented design approach
- Programming language: C, C#
Desirable:
- Background in wireless communications (especially with physical layer) and communication/networking protocols
- Experience in programming stream-oriented (eg digital audio) applications on multi-core architectures
- Basic knowledge of on- and off-chip communication buses and methods for their analysis
- Practical knowledge of testing methods for Embedded systems
- Experience in verification of distributed Real Time Embedded systems
- Programming languages: Python, UML
