For a private bank based in Zürich we are currently looking for a Platform Manager.Responsibilities:
- Handle requests for new server and decom of server, including consulting and support of project leaders
- Schedule server hardware and build lifecycle based on specifications of engineering and requirements of operations
- Manage capacity of shared server infrastructure based on specifications
- Provide reports of Server infrastructure
- consult requestors of new server (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris)
- track running deploy and decom orders
- planning lifecycle for servers with upcoming EOL hardware and/or OS-builds
- capacity management of shared server farms by verifing thresholds, monitoring available capacity and initiate order for required expansion
- single point of contact for international infrastructure, e.g. Setup, lifecycle and close international locations
Skills required:
- very good in MS-Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint
- good command of the written and spoken language: german and english
- basic know how about server infrastructure and operating system
- Basic know-how in unix administration
- Basic know-how in Windows, ESX, Storage
