Project environment:A Swiss Private Bank
Tasks:
• Handle requests for new server and decom of server, including consulting and support of project leaders (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris)
• Track running deploy and decom orders
• Planning lifecycle for servers with upcoming EOL hardware and/or OS-builds
• Capacity management of shared server farms by verifying thresholds, monitoring available capacity and initiate order for required expansion
• Single point of contact for international infrastructure, e.g. setup, lifecycle and close international locations
• Schedule server hardware and JB-build lifecycle based on specifications of engineering and requirements of operations
• Provide reports of Server infrastructure
• Combine data from different sources in an appropriate way
Requirements:
• Basic know-how about server infrastructure and operating system
• Worked in a large company with distributed responsibilities
• Familiar with standard server builds and lifecycle process
• Basic know-how in Windows, ESX, Storage and Unix administration
• Very good in MS-Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint
• Good command of the written and spoken language: German and English
