For our international banking client, Swisslinx are looking for a Senior Services Officer for a challenging new 3-year contract in Basel.

In this new role, you will evolve within the Event Services area of the Meeting Services, act as central contact point and product manager for the event management system performing system and data administration and ensuring smooth running of related reporting tools and interfaces. Provide technical assistance and customer support services related to the Event Management System in support of the business requirements.

Your tasks will involve:

Plan, organise, coordinate and execute all maintenance and enhancements of the event management system in cooperation with other departments. Develop project plans and budget in relation to maintenance and any such enhancements.
Provide technical and system-related support services to internal users and to external users including the meeting services first level support function.
Organise ongoing training and related user documentation and support.
Manage external service providers in line with the established contractual relationships and agreed service levels and ensure efficient and high quality service delivery related to the even management system.
Maintain effective information flow to the Line Manager and within the unit.

In order to be considered for this position, you will possess the following skills and experience:

At least 5 years of relevant experience and a clear record of achievement in the area of technical user support or service desk management, preferably in a multi-cultural environment
Proven technical, organisational, planning and project management skills
Energetic and proactive attitude; excellent multitasking skills
High level of stress tolerance remains calm in hectic environments.
Strong guest and customer orientation. Reliability, tact and ability to prioritise workload and user requests
Open, responsive team player with highly developed interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexibly and with precision under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English and German; good language skills in another major language are advantageous
