Consultant Microsoft Systems Management in Switzerland
Glasshouse Technology AG is a Zurich based IT consulting company focused on Datacenter solutions for Mid-Market companies spanning services from Backup and Storage Architectures to IT Service management.
We are now now expanding the services of our ITIL and service process consulting department to include the design and implementation of a Microsoft Systems Solution Center and require a highly experienced Technical Consultant to work within this exciting new area of the business.
As the successful candidate you will require a strong knowledge of Microsoft in both core server and virtualization capabilities with expertise in one or more of the Systems Center components (SCOM, SCCM, SCCS or SCDPM). You will need to use both your technical and consultative skills to ensure your customer solutions are implemented swiftly and to an exceptional quality.
There is great potential for advanced development within this creative team which could lead to taking on the challenge of Team Leader to the System Center practice team.
Job Role Requirements
- Drive the architecture design and deployment of system Center as a strategic System Management platform for our current customers and new prospects.
- Co-develop IT Service concepts that can be implemented within the System Platform with our ITIL consulting department.
- Support Sales as Pre-Sales capacity, convincing prospects to investigate and ultimately invest in System Center as the System Management platform for their IT as a service strategy.
- Integrate the solution according to ITIL.
- Support project management in rolling out the solutions, develop best practices.
- Review current System Center installations and create health checks and roadmaps in a professional report.
- Conduct technical workshops and customer events - displaying System Center capabilities.
- Integrate System Center capabilities with our current backup and storage departments.
The Person
- As this is a challenging role, we will expect that you bring the following capabilities, and are ready to learn fast:
- Technical education (University Degree) or a similar qualification. Experience is key and will be an important decision criterion.
- At least 5 year of experience in Windows server, Virtualization, Network or other datacenter disciplines.
- At least 2 years' experience in multiple of the system Center modules - Preferable Service Center, Orchestrator.
- Some experience in SQL Server is expected.
- Scripting for System Center (PowerShell, VB/J Script),
- Flexibility for travel within Switzerland/Germany
- Some German language knowledge is required
Work Place: Zurich, Switzerland
Contract Type: Permanent or 6-12 month assignment
Salary: 90K CHF - 105K CHF Dependent of experience and skills
