This is a great opportunity for an experienced Unix System Administrator to work for a well known Enterprise organisation in Geneva.
In this role you will be working with the latest cutting edge technologies in a new project funded position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, management & support of Linux operating systems (predominantly Red Hat)
- Build/Upgrade of new UNIX AIX/Linux Servers and provision of documentation before passing onto operational team
- Disaster Recovery/High Availability Projects
- Maintain documentation relating to assigned tasks, clients, and Linux server systems.
- Manage own workload to achieve results to agreed priorities, standards and with agreed time frames; provide reports of progress as required
Essential skills:
- Strong UNIX/Linux/AIX/Solaris administration experience (Red Hat) - essential
- Experience with Apache, Tomcat or Nagios web monitoring tools
- Experience with Virtualisation/VMware - highly desirable
- Experience with EMC SAN - highly desirable
- Banking EXPERIENCE
- Strong communication skills - essential
