Extensive knowledge and working experience of SAN/NAS technologies, ideally within the banking/financial industry.
NAS
- Experience in administration of NetApp based systems, FAS-series.
- Specific knowledge of Data OnTap V7.x and V8.x in 7-mode.
- Knowledge of core Snap* product sets, including Volume/Qtree SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapMirror for Virtual Instances & SnapLock based solutions.
- Knowledge of both NFS (v3/v4) and CIFS Protocols.
- Experience of DFM/Ops Mgmt and Performance Advisor Products.
SAN
- Strong knowledge of EMC storage products specifically Clariion (CX700/CX3-80), Symmetrix (DMX2000/DMX4) & VMAX
- Strong knowledge of Cisco SAN MDS 95xx product range
- Strong knowledge of Symcli, Navisphere and Cisco Fabric/Device Manager
- Experience of working in a storage environment supporting Windows/Solaris/Linux/ESX platforms
General
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail and an ability to follow process
- Ability to work and remain calm in a high pressure environment
- Good team working skills but equally has to be capable of working alone
- Good understanding of IP Networking and experience with Unix Shell
- Fluent English is a must, conversational German would be beneficial
