For our esteemed banking client with a global reputation for excellence in their field, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior C#/Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer with profound experience of the Microsoft .NET Platform for a challenging long term contract lasting up to three years in the heart of Basel, Switzerland.

Senior C#/Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer, Banking (Long term contract, Basel )
As Senior C#/Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer, your role will include the following tasks:
- Scopes, analyses, designs, tests and programs in-house Microsoft .NET-based business applications both in enhancement and project modes. Selects, installs and configures business packages
- Implements, enhances and supports the SQL Server Analysis Services databases and the underlying SQL Server relational databases
- Undertakes analysis of business requirements, extracts technological needs from user requirements and translates them into detailed system specifications
- Ensures that the design meets business requirements and that the stakeholders understand the benefits, drawbacks, risks, costs and time scales of design decisions
- For designated systems, prepares system test cases and plans, and also assists customers in preparing their test cases. Executes, records, analyses and reports results of system tests
- Ensures all appropriate systems documentation is prepared and maintained in accordance with relevant standards and conventions
- Provides support for designated production systems on her/his own or with help of internal or external resources
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- At least five years' work experience designing and developing in Microsoft .NET environments
- Profound experience with C#, MS-SQL, MS -SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Multidimensional Expressions ( MDX)
- Minimum five years' hands on experience in Datawarehouse (DWH) and multidimensional (OLAP) database design and implementation
- Good knowhow of SOA (such as WOF, WCF and Entity framework technologies)
- Experience with Windows 2008 R2 Servers
- Good knowledge of software development life cycle processes such as Agile and TDD
- Very good communication and presentation skills
- Outstanding problem solving skills and analytical approach
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
