Convergent requires an Experienced Essbase Technical Specialist to join an existing team at one of our global banking clients based in Zurich. With at least 5 years Essbase & Datawarehouse development experience - preferably in Banking Environment - The successful candidate will
Role Description -
Architect and develop solutions that will meet business requirements - provide technical knowledge, advice and evaluation on our products available & assist in determining the technical feasibility of reporting solution
Participate in the detailed design, development, testing, and deployment of the architectures. Responsible for reviewing the design of and for tuning our Essbase reporting platform. The candidate will also help in troubleshooting Essbase core dumps/bugs.
Conduct technical reviews and walk-through of system design documentation with other development and design team members & coach other Essbase Developers
Required Technical Skills
Very good UNIX/Solaris Knowledge (including troubleshooting of Essbase processes (core dumps) Very good design skills
Deep Knowledge of Essbase/Experience with huge cubes (100 GB +)
Good relational DB Knowledge (Oracle, SQL)/
ASO DB tuning, MDX-query tuning, MAXL Scripting,
Other Technical Abilities
Essbase security concept (LDAP, shared services) is a plus
Perl module is a plus,
JAVA API is a plus, Experience in Java, XML is a plus Experience with MS Analytical Services is a plus
Candidates require excellent communication skills in English. German language skills a bonus.
