For our client we are looking for 3 System Specialists for different technology areas like Exchange, Microsoft Lync, Blackberry, Outlook 2010, Rightfax, EAS/Google Vault and email archiving systems, iPhone/iPad/MobileIron, BestInformed, Google for Enterprise, MTAs (Sendmail, Fast path, Mirapoint), Standard email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, pop, etc), Networking basic knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS etc), AntiSpam and antivirus solutions (Forefront, Mailmarshall, FireEye, trend micro), SMS (short message gateways), Powershell high and consistent skills, Java or Python Scripting
Short description
- Performing operations on various technical platforms in the areas of Middleware, operating, standard, universal and communication software.
Main Tasks
- Investigate the impact of new software components and recommend actions taking the impact on the whole system into account.
- Evaluation of hardware, operating systems, standard packages, communication applications and universal applications.
- Installation, generation, modification, integration, testing and release of new operating, universal and standard software (Release management)
- Investigation and correction of system level problems. Definition and/or creation of system security policies, checklists, change and problem management procedures as well as procedures for backup and data security.
- Improvement of installation and handover processes. Update of system documentation and system guidelines.
- Support and direct the system developers and system users in system technical questions.
- Creation of procedures, escalation processes and rules for handling exceptional situations (Recovery/Restart). Carry out complex reconstruction and recovery processes (Recovery/Restart)
- Develop concepts for tuning or performance management and identification and removal of error states on hardware, software and communication components.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or business field, or equivalent experience
- ITIL Service Management training and certification preferred
- A very high level of written and spoken English is a MUST. Knowledge of Spanish & German is helpful.
- Occasional international travel possible
- Out of business hours work eventually required to perform system maintenances.
- On-Call support over nights and weekends required when appropriate.
5+ Years' experience with some or all of the following technology:
- Exchange
- Microsoft Lync
- Blackberry
- Outlook 2010 (Both clients are not in use)
- Rightfax
- EAS/Google Vault and email archiving systems
- iPhone/iPad/MobileIron
- BestInformed
- Google for Enterprise
- MTAs (Sendmail, Fast path, Mirapoint)
- Standard email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, pop, etc).
- Networking basic knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS etc)
