For a large multinational company in Basel we require a virtualization engineer with experience in large virtualization projects, vSphere5 and networking technologies
- Experience in operations (hands-on)
- Engineering/Design experience
- Good documentation skills (English)
- Experience in large environments (several hundred VMs, >>25 ESXi, several sites)
- 5 years + VMWare ESX experience with VMWare 4/5 & Vsphere
- Good knowledge of EMC storage technologies ideally both VMAX and VNX
- Good Networking knowledge especially with CISCO products (CCNA/CCNP)
- Knowledge in Cisco SAN Switches
- Knowledge of CISCO UCS technology would be a plus
Desired skills:
- Knowledge of VCE Vblock incl. Software tools (UIM)
- vCloudDirector
- VCP5 certified
- Symantec Netbackup knowledge
