Windows Systems Engineer - Document Management/Archiving - Investment Banking sector, Zurich
Contract role - Initial 6 months (possible extension)
Start - ASAP
Data Inc Switzerland is looking for a Windows Systems Engineer to work within a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank based in Zurich and Basel (until September). The role focuses on integration and support tasks (rather than development). The relevant work experience must have been gained in similar banking/financial environment.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Software integration
- Support for development infrastructure
- Developing Windows based custom components
- 3rd level Support for solutions in production
Experience & Skills required
- Windows operating system on client (WXP, Win7) and server (WSP - W2K8) side: Minimum 5 years experience as a System Engineer
- Windows software distribution and packaging mechanisms
- Scripting (batch processes, Perl, SQL)
- Programming experience: Visual Studio environment, .NET framework
- Integration of 3rd party components
- Problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations
- IT Security (authentication, authorisation, cryptography, certificate management, etc.)
- Experience with UNIX (Solaris, Linux) as a system engineer would be a plus
- SQL, PL/SQL, XML, Perl, Shell Scripting, packaging, configuration management
- Experience with Oracle, storage and archiving solutions would be a plus
Languages: Fluent English and basic German.
