Client Environment:

As one of the world's leading banks, our client provides its clients with investment banking, private banking and asset management services worldwide. Our client has a long tradition of meeting the complex financial needs of a wide range of clients, offering advisory services, comprehensive solutions and innovative products to companies, institutional clients and high-net-worth private clients globally, as well as retail clients in Switzerland.

Sunshine is a strategic application which supports Private Banking Structured Products. Core functionality includes Structured Product Incubation, Life Cycle Management and Control/MIS. Sunshine is a global application located in Switzerland.

Due to the nature of the fast moving business, the Sunshine project team needs to respond quickly to the Business through frequent releases. You will be part of a team that is pioneering agile software development in the bank, using Scrum methodology to achieve this goal.

The team is extremely enthusiastic and enjoy working together. Pair Programming, TDD/BDD, Refactoring, and Continuous Delivery are deeply Embedded and we're constantly striving to improve the way we work. Regular sessions on coding practices and technologies help us keep our skills at the top of our game.

We are passionate about supporting continuous development, use daily stand-ups, team retrospectives to create a positive team environment with clear communication.

Candidate:

• You care about software, and have a passion for what you do. You have at least two years working with S.O.L.I.D programming principles, along with a deep understanding of TDD and BDD, and experience with automated testing frameworks.
• You are a passionate, creative programmer with a proactive approach and a desire for constant learning. You are committed to team goals, comfortable in handling tight deadlines, reliable and consistent in delivering superior quality results.
• You have experience working in an agile team using continuous integration, and strongly believes in clean code and refactoring.
• Fluent in English. German is not mandatory but is a plus.

Technology:

The applications that make up the Sunshine platform are Microsoft based, and built around the .NET framework, either hosted on IIS, running as Windows services or just command line apps. The Back End is Microsoft SQL Server, and drives our applications. We are currently in an exciting process of reworking our Front End to be an even richer, JQuery-focused web application to better serve our rapidly growing user base.

You would at least bring along the following skill set:

• Web/Scripting JQuery, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Webforms
• Databases T-SQL, MS SQL Server 2008
• Platforms IIS, Windows services
• Development Tools Visual Studio 2010, Resharer
• Testing NUnit, Moq, Selenium, SpecFlow

Interview Process:

Telephone chat to learn more about you. What you are passionate about, and how you think you might be able to fit into ou client environment.

This will be followed by a face to face interview. A pair programming exercise with a developer, followed by a more informal chat with the development team. And finally a short face to face with representatives from other (non-technical) teams.
