Good for Enterprise, RIM Blackberry Platform Engineer - Contract, Zurich
Swisslinx are looking for a Good for Enterprise and RIM Blackberry platform Engineer/Specialist to work for one of the large banks in Zurich.
This is a contract position for a minimum of 6th months.
The role will be providing engineering level 3 and 4 support covering two products, Good for Enterprise and RIM Blackberry platform. Good for Enterprise is the invest platform so this is the primary skill they need.
- You will also have to provide engineering enhancements to both platforms in line with CTB project commitments
- Have good technical knowledge of Active Directory, server, data base and Exchange messaging integration dependencies in order to be able to architect, design, engineer and test solutions that are fit for purpose
- Engineering/architect for the mobile messaging platforms - Good Technologies (Good for Enterprise ) and RIM Blackberry
- Support Exchange 10 program by
- reviewing currently proposed new global architecture and designs (Exchange, BES and Good)
- Implement both BES and Good platforms (at latest release) fully in integration test environment
- Develop and refine existing build and operational documentation
- Develop test plans and complete functional and nonfunctional testing to certify build as complete (ready for production acceptance testing and deploy to production)
- Provide 3rd and 4th level engineering support for BES and GOOD (vendor escalations, bug fix, patch testing etc)
- Engineer and test BES and GOOD platform updates and upgrades
- Deliver in line with commitments and priorities
- Contribute to team process and tooling maturity and enhancements.
- Ensure messaging test, reference and system designs (high and low level) are in place and up to date
- Ensure mobile messaging labs are adequately maintained and provisioned (fit for purpose)
Technical or Other Skills:
- Engineer, script, develop and integrate technical solutions aligned to RIM's BES 4.x and 5.x
- Assist in maintenance of messaging labs (Test and Development)

- Mobile platforms - iOS, Android, Win Mobile
- MS SQL
- Storage technologies (NAS, SAN, DAS)
- Network technologies (Lan/Wan)
- VMware
- SCOM or NetIQ Monitoring
- Email boundary layer
- Active Directory and directory sync
- Scripting methods (ideally PowerShell)
- Security principles
- Role Based Administration and Controls
- Mobile end point devices (smartphone and tablet)
