On the behalf of one of our biggest clients in Pharmaceutical Industry in Switzerland K2 Partnering Solutions is looking for a "Big Data" Data Center Architect
In your role as Senior Data Center Architect, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Definition, optimization and standardization of global IT architecture with the data consolidation programme
Planning and organization of the implementation of new systems architectures
Identification of any shortcomings in performance in conjunction with the solution provider, as well as proposal of solutions
Act as subject mater expert to client and IT staffs in all phases of development and implementation processes
Analysis of technical architecture to ensure compliance
Analysis of feasibility for technical architecture
Identification of risks concerning proposed architecture
Writing of documentation
In order to be considered for this contract position, you will possess the following skills and experience:
Profound technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, such as in the areas of virtualization, operating systems, storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
A strong track record managing data centres, with a minimum 5 years experience in a data centre domain role in a global organisation
Experience in a team leadership position in a data centre project
Solid knowledge of validation practices eg GxP, SOX
Strong customer orientation and ability to communicate with key stakeholders and vendors
Fluency in English
This is a min 6 month assignment with a possibility for extension
