Our customer, an international leading pharmaceutical company, currently needs an experienced and highly motivated Application Engineer. This position will be a full time contract based in Basel, starting ASAP until the end of the year with option to extend. Your responsibilities in this role would be to support on complex technical issues (network, server, Workstation and database). Furthermore you will investigate and resolve problems installing complex imaging software. You will identify solutions to work around open issues being under investigation or pending resolution. You will also be responsible to perform data migrations and quality assurance testing (new software releases). You work directly with technologies (deployment and configuration) like Definiens, Pipeline Pilot, Columbus and Aperio (software & server).
For this interesting position you will need to fulfil the following requirements:
- A background in natural science, with a university degree at the best
- Providing technical support for Windows/UNIX/Linux (workstations & server) on a professional level
- Excellent knowledge in Oracle
- Experience with imaging and image analysis systems
- Documented experience in the pharmaceutical area
- Excellent communication skills in English
