My client, a global energy commodity trading company, require an experience Treasury Middle Officer to join their team in Geneva. Being the Middle Office for Risk of Treasury they will be responsible for timely deal entry, correct position reporting, PnL reporting, pricing repporting and adherence to trading limits. Candidates will be responsible for the aggregation and validation of risk information for Treasury, based upon a combination of Front Office and Back offices systems sources. The scope of contributing sources extends beyond Treasury's own activities to include non trade originated and other corporate risk information. Candidates will be responsible for reporting this risk to Treasury and CRO, deal entry in ETRM system, preparation, validation and reporting of Treasury owned PnL and associated analytics. They will be responsible for verying risk is operated within prescribed limits and reporting any breach to CRO and Treasury. Candidates will practively develop and imporove business processess and ETRM systems/functionalities in coordination with Treasury, IT and the Chief Risk Officer. Successful candidates will develop, and maintain, good relationships with various functions within Treasury and other relevant business areas including finance, trading and other Middle Office/operations. Candidates will have a degree in a numerate or related subject, a strong understanding of accounting principles and practice insofar as it relates to entity level and consolidation level FX risk. Candidates will be competent and experienced in preparing daily FX P(L) with instruments currently used being FX spot and forward trades but products could extend to FX options.Ideal candidates will preferably be an experienced Risk/Business Analyst with strong understanding, knowledge and experience of Energy trading with a knowledge of oil trading preferable. Candidate will need to have a strong but inclusive personalility, passionate about risk and processess, pragmatic, capable of working with the business lines to embed risk awareness and culture into everyday processess. Stable, confident and independly minded they will need to be able to interact confidently with senior management. Technically competent, they will have experience of setting up/managing risk management ETRM systems and tools, familiar with back and Middle Office processes and have a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in the Middle Office.
