My client in Lausanne is currently looking for a solution architect to join their team.
Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this job is to provide Solution Architecture expertise, vision and leadership to perform all activities related to Solution Architecture across the IT landscape, in particular providing architecture advise to key projects that have an important architecture impact. The Solution Architecture specialist works with a network of function specific solution architects to ensure sustainable, forward looking value added solutions.
Key Ouputs: (main areas in which the job must deliver in order to successfully achieve its purpose)
Coordinate the work of various technical teams (including vendors) to deliver architecture design for key initiatives, ensuring end to end integration of various technologies and applications while respecting the IT standards and compliance requirements.
Project management for specific projects: maintain a project plan, organize and chair meetings with the involved teams to understand progress and unlock any issues.
Organize and chair steering committees.
Ensure delivery to planned timelines.
Organize any activities required for the project to progress.
Contribute to the following specific activities.
GLOBE Functional roadmaps (coordinate the process to ensure delivery on a yearly basis). Plan Landscape evolution based on GLOBE functional roadmaps outcome.
Emphasis on management of future business growth from an IT perspective.
Project Manage specific Solution Architecture initiatives.
Perfoem architecture reviews for projects with landscape impact.
Landscape evolution calendar incorporating all major initiatives and clearing conflicts (3 years outlook)
Key Skills
1. Deep knowledge and understanding of solution architecture; end to end integration of multiple layers, in particular SAP applications; Service Oriented Architecture; security end to end integration.
2. Project Management, including prioritization and resources allocation and management.
3. Transversal Management skills. Facilitation of issues and conflict resolution in a cross-functional environment.
4. Ability to deliver under pressure and tight timelines.
5. Good understanding of ISIT trends in the market and how they relate to business requirements
6. Service Orientation
7. Able to link business needs to applications and technologies
8. Able to communicate, manage expectations, identify tradeoffs with Stakeholders
9. Able to think pragmatically and in context of business priorities
10. Ability to build and maintain an International Network of Solution Architects across the IT organization.
