Our customer, an international leading pharmaceutical company, currently needs an experienced and highly motivated Network and Security Engineer. This position will be a long term contract based in Basel, starting ASAP until the end of the year with option to extend on a yearly basis. Your responsibilities in this role would be to perform implementations, provide support, analyse and design tasks to enhance and develop the network and security architecture. Furthermore you will create engineering and implementation plans to lead specific projects to completion, as well as managing multiple and simultaneous complex technology projects.
For this challenging position you need to fulfil the following requirements:
- Excellent skills in Cisco layer 2 & 3 products on an expert level (7 years minimum)
- Extensive experience in Checkpoint Firewalls
- Documented knowledge of VPN - IPSEC (Cisco ASA) and SSL (Juniper)
- Well based experience with DC (Nexus) and F5 (load balancing)
- Experience with Tipping Point (IPS), Proxy and DNS (Iron Port; Infoblox)
- Pharma experience would be a big plus
- Excellent communication skills in English
