We are looking for a System Engineering & Architecture
Scope of Work:
- Engineering lead and architect for the mobile messaging platforms - MyMobile and RIM Blackberry.
- Responsible for architecture, design and implementation of both platform upgrades in alignment with Exchange 2010 program (dependency).
- Sole provider of 3rd and 4th level support/as well as CTB funded Exchange 10 and MyMobile projects
- Manage life cycle and events driven messaging platform and related technologies engineering activities as well as full fill project engineering requests
- Deliver in line with commitments and priroities
- Contribute to team process and tooling maturity and enhancements.
- Ensure messaging test, reference and system designs (high and low level) are in place and up todate.
- Ensure mobile messaging labs are adequately maintained and provisioned (fit for purpose)
Technical or Other Skills:
- Engineer, script, develop and integrate technical solutions aligned to RIM's BES 4.x and 5.x
- Good Technology platform and ideally Good Dynamix (key skill)
- Assist in maintenance of messaging labs (Test and Development)
Must have good familiarity with:
- Exchange 2003, 2010
- Outlook 10
- Windows server platforms
- Mobile platforms - iOS, Android, Win Mobile
- MS SQL
- Storage technologies (NAS, SAN, DAS)
- Network technologies (Lan/Wan)
- VMware
- SCOM or NetIQ Monitoring
- Email boundary layer
- Active Directory and directory sync
- Scripting methods (ideally PowerShell)
- Security principles
- Role Based Adminsitration and Controls
- Mobile end point devices (smartphone and tablet)

- Undergraduate degree in IT (Computer science preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of RIM BES 4.x and 5.x and Good Technologie
- Past experience of working in complex messaging environments (global ~ 20k seats plus)
- Good Scripting capabilities
- Worked as part of engineering/support teams.
- Good decision making and communication skills
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements for messaging environments.
- Ability to create engineering blue prints, detailed designs and author documents and test plans etc.
- Ability to think outside the box
- Must be able to drive partnership and foster relationships with colleagues and partners
- Ability to manage multiple complex technical engineering deliveries essential
- Good people management and communication skills required
- Ability to estimate effort and manage, prioitise delivery (engineering projects and day to day issue/life cycle requests)
